JULIE BARBARA CHESTER Peacefully on January 24, 2006 after a painful fight with cancer, Julie Chester passed away. Julie leaves to mourn her daughter Valerie, son-in-law John and her grandson Morgan, the love of her life. She also leaves her former husband and good friend John Chester, sister Helen, sister-in-law Ollie, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband Melvin Vandal and her daughter Sydney, whose loss left a huge hole in Julie's heart. Julie grew up in Point Douglas and went to Norquay School and St. John's High. She held various jobs through her life including her last job which she retired from as a secretary of MPIC King St. Branch. Julie loved to read and go out to dinner. She loved her yearly trips to Grand Forks with her family. Most of all, she enjoyed her weekly afternoon bingo games at St. Andrew's Hall and her weekly Tuesday morning visits to the casino. The family wishes to thank all the staff and volunteers at the St. Boniface Hospital. Special thanks to Dr. Wong and all the nurses at CancerCare. Also to the staff on the 8th floor, Palliative Care for their extra kindness. At Julie's request, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. Arrangements entrusted to: VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME CREMATORIUM 220 Hespeler at Henderson Hwy. 668-3151
